The Yard
A place where horses come first.
Equus Ourique is an equestrian centre in the heart of the beautiful lower Alentejo in Portugal. The yard extends across 13 hectares of pastures, paddock trails and paddocks for the centre's horses and livery clients.
Come for a riding holiday, a guided trail, a lesson, a quiet stay in nature — or simply to spend time around horses and the team.

The Riding Experience

Riding Holidays

One-hour and two-hour guided rides, with routes and pace adapted to experience.
Lessons

Individual or small-group lessons for adults and children, including seat schooling and dressage-focused work.
Horse Care
A home away from home.
Equus Ourique provides grass livery, stable livery, retirement livery and temporary livery. Horses can enjoy individual turnout in large paddocks or paddock trails throughout the year.
The team can also assist with horse health care and management of veterinary, dentist and farrier appointments.
